Where are we now with the transfer of staff to DHET?
Since the beginning of the year the National Imple-mentation Task Team (NITT) (comprising unions, DHET, SACPO and SAICA) has been meeting regularly to deal with staff transfer issues.
Recently the NITT conducted Function Shift Infor-mation Workshops in all provinces. Management staff and other college representatives were invited to attend. The purpose of the Function Shift workshops was to outline the principles, processes and time lines with regard to the transfer. The delegates were also requested to share this information with college staff. NAPTOSA should soon be called to college information meetings where the NITT presentation, the Business Rules and Frequently Asked Questions should be presented.
